there was this e-mail that my mother read out to me one day when we were out at lunch and i think it is honestly one of the sweetest stories i have ever heard. here's my rendition of it simply cos i am too lazy to dig through my e-mail for it.

simplified:
there was this girl who was visually impaired(because i have taken my module on Children with Special Needs, it is not nice to call people blind), and she found this guy who was super nice to her and stuff. he took really good care of her and one day, he asked her to marry him.

but she wasn't ready, because she wanted to see him(or see the world, something like that) before she could say yes. so one day, a miracle happened and she was scheduled for an operation that would help her regain her sight.

after the operation, she was finally able to see. however, when she looked at her boyfriend, she saw his closed eyelids and realised he was blind as well. since she was now able to see the world, she did not want to be with him anymore, so she told him to leave.

i think a few days later, he sent her a note or something, saying,
"Take care, and enjoy the joy of regaining your sight my dear, for before those eyes were yours, they were mine."
(something to this extent okay)

OH MY GOD after my mom read it finish i immediately cupped my hand over my mouth cos i honestly wanted to cry at that time. SO TOUCHING!
